BENGALURU: Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) officials on Tuesday recovered four acres of prime land worth Rs 300 crore in Nagawara, north Bengaluru. A building and sheds were erected there illegally.
A senior official said the recovery is probably the largest in BDA’s history when it comes to land value. “Unauthorised persons built a five-storeyed building there.
We have not yet demolished the structure but removed the sheds and other encroachments,” he said.
In 1985, BDA passed a notification to acquire survey number 75 in Nagawara for forming HBR II Stage layout, and the related acquisition was done in 1988. While 1 acre and 26 guntas of land was used for constructing a Ring Road, four acres and 17 guntas were kept aside for the layout.
